An alumni of Moanalua High School ('05) and the MeneMAC program, Austin Zavala is our Broadcast Journalism teacher. Prior to coming back to Moanalua in 2012 to teach, Mr. Zavala received his Masters of Arts in Teaching from Chaminade University with an English licensure. Prior to that he worked as a news writer and editor for the online publication "The Hawaii Independent" and a skills trainer working with special needs students. Mr. Zavala received his B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Missouri Valley College, where he played all four years of collegiate volleyball. |
